What are the main activities of the ARI?
Significant input into the Renal NSF parts 1 & 2 for England and Wales. This proved to be a major, successful collaboration between all companies in the association.
Registered stakeholder in a number of NICE guidance and appraisals including, home v hospital haemodialysis (2003), anaemia management in CKD ongoing, immunosuppression in children and adolescents (2005) Cinacalcet.
Input into the Government Skills for Health and Chronic Disease management initiatives.
Input into the Criteria for Success document, a multidisciplinary document which is part of the NSF implementation plan.
Member of the Renal Task Force, an industry liaison group with UK Transplant and DH Renal and Transplantation group.
The ARI has representation on the councils of the British Renal Society, the Kidney Alliance and the Renal Association Research Committee.
We have regular dialogue with the Purchasing and Supply agency, PaSA, to represent the interests of our members.
